{"id":16,"date":"2024-04-15T14:02:47","date_gmt":"2024-04-15T14:02:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/savelivesint.org\/?page_id=16"},"modified":"2024-04-15T14:49:18","modified_gmt":"2024-04-15T14:49:18","slug":"home","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/savelivesint.org\/","title":{"rendered":"Save Lives International"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>About Us.<\/strong><br>Save Lives International is an NGO working to improve the lives of orphans and vulnerable children including those effected by HIV in Africa.&nbsp;<br>\u200bOver 10 million children and young people in African countries are living below the poverty line according to the United Nations for refugees.<br>\u200bMany are living in squalid conditions in refugee camps in various African countries due to internal displacement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Children, HIV and AIDS<\/strong><br>\u200bWe have been privileged in contributing and influencing strategies to curtail the spread and treatment of HIV\/AIDS to children and young people in Africa.<br>More than 1,000 children are newly infected with HIV every day, and of these more than half will die as a result of AIDS because of a lack of access to HIV treatment. In addition, millions more children every year are indirectly affected by the epidemic as a result of the death and suffering caused in their families and communities.&nbsp;<br>Preventing HIV infection, providing life prolonging treatment and relieving the impact of HIV and AIDS for children and their families and communities is possible.
